We're taking time lapse to the next level with the all new ShootX and CloudX.

We're taking time lapse to the next level with the all new ShootX and CloudX.

As we’ve shared before, our purpose is to help photographers and businesses capture difficult footage with a simple workflow. Today’s announcement is extremely well aligned with that purpose. We are very excited to announce today both a new camera and our new state-of-the-art online time lapse platform, aptly named CloudX, are now available. This means accessing images and creating time lapse videos has never been easier.

ShootX:

CloudX:

Coupled with ShootX, our new camera, we know that you’ll be well equipped to get the difficult shot. This camera packs a punch. It is a purpose-built time lapse camera bringing 2.6K resolution and cloud upload. With all of the great features it has… and at this price point… we know it’ll be popular! You can check out all the features of ShootX and CloudX.

Camera Resolution Comparison for Time Lapse Projects

So why this camera and platform arrangement and why now? Without sharing everything, the strategic plan for our business has always involved a cloud platform. Accordingly, we’ve been developing the hardware to get images to the cloud. To be able to do so at the lowest total cost of ownership, just happens to be a bonus. We love the 4K quality that BlinkX brings using GoPro cameras, and we’re prototyping UpShot, the hardware required to deliver that to CloudX. We’ll share more on UpShot early next year. Having a cost-effective solution in ShootX, yet still delivering 2.6K resolution, simply means more people can get into time lapse due to the lower cost of entry. It also means for larger projects, more cameras can be deployed in more locations around the site for the same budget. Having this mix of price, quality and features, sets us up for a very strong 2018 and onwards. Ultimately, we just love to see time lapse telling a story of progress. Having this more accessible spread on the market means we will see more story telling.

Time Lapse Solution Comparison List

CloudX is a natural progression for CamDo, and something that was inevitable. It is so powerful in its simplicity. We’ll continue to keep it simple, yet introduce features we know you’ll appreciate. As soon as we can we’ll offer integrated 3G/4G connectivity, solar power and some more wow factors.

From all of us at CamDo, we wish you an enjoyable break to finish 2017, along with a happy, successful and safe 2018.
